A new school building for around 360 students is being developed in Arbon with the construction of the Lärche School Centre. The project includes a four-storey school wing as well as a triple room sports hall, creating urgently needed educational space for the future development of the secondary school community. Completion and commissioning are scheduled for the 2028/29 school year.
From the start of the project in October 2025 through to the planned completion in summer 2029, Bühler + Scherler AG will be responsible for the comprehensive planning of the electrical engineering systems. This includes electrical planning, building automation, the photovoltaic system, as well as the design of the safety and security systems and lighting. The scope also covers the planning of all low-voltage systems, including audio and clock systems, along with the planning of the stage technology. All electrical systems will be integrated into the building automation system to ensure efficient, coordinated operation of the technical infrastructure.

Our contribution lies in the holistic planning and coordination of all systems. In a school building in particular, it is essential that technology, use and operation are aligned at an early stage. We create the conditions for the various systems to work together reliably while remaining flexible in the long term.
The timber construction of the school wing also plays a key role from a technical perspective. It places high demands on planning, especially when it comes to integrating the systems and coordinating with the architects and specialist planners. Thanks to our experience in solid wood construction and school buildings, which our experienced project manager was able to further develop during the Martin-Haffter School Building project in Weinfelden, we are laying the foundation for a well-considered and future-proof implementation.
For the client, this creates clear added value: experienced project management, well-structured interface coordination and technical planning that is geared towards the future operation of the school. In this way, we are making our contribution to an educational building that is functional, sustainable and, above all, ready for the future.
