Saving electricity: Measures from Bühler + Scherler
The current topic of saving electricity has also left its mark on Bühler + Scherler in a positive sense. A project group was established that developed measures to save electricity.
After collecting and reviewing ideas, they were quickly implemented. In addition to smaller savings by completely switching off standby consumers, larger savings were also achieved. Fourteen spots were deactivated in the office premises, resulting in savings of 1,190 kWh per year.
Reducing screen brightness from the brightest to the lowest setting, calculated with 2 screens per workstation, also results in savings of 1,094 kWh.
The project team compiled the savings from all measures and converted them into everyday situations.
Total savings per year: 2’609 kWh
– equal driving 18,118 km with an electric car
(reference: Tesla Model 3)
– equal riding 372,714 km with an electric bike
(average value)
– equal boiling 1 liter of water 16,306 times with the lid on
In addition to implementing the measures in the company, employees are also informed about saving energy at home. By doing so, Bühler + Scherler aims to positively contribute to this topic in the best possible way.
