Swissmill – Kornhaus, Zürich

On the Swissmill site at the heart of the city of Zurich, the first grain mill was built in 1843. With a daily production output of 1,000 t, Swissmill is the largest flour and semolina producer in Switzerland today.

The plant includes mills for common wheat, durum wheat, corn, oats, and specialties. To increase storage capacity, the granary from 1957 will be raised in height. To this end, the existing 37 m building will be converted into the world's tallest grain silo at 118 m.
